Twentieth century Vietnamese Master of silk painting, Le Pho is among the most highly sought after artists from Southeast Asia today. The artist’s technique is a unique synthesis of Oriental motifs and astute Western insights, the paintings conveying sentiments that are pure, poetic and enigmatic. His one of great painting “At the Approach of Tet” recreated to 3D hologram animation by Grabit.
Tet is the biggest holyday and festival in Vietnam. At the morning of the day, people write a wish what they dream and wish luck for new years on a paper and hang it on flower tree. In other words, the meaning of the Tet and flower is ‘wish, luck, pray’ to people. Le Pho absorbed the meaning of Tet into a woman and flower on his art and Grabit produce the storyline of the video with Le Pho’s concept “A women’s wish blooms a flower”. Blooming flower is metaphor of woman’s wish back and forth between real and fantasy. We designed 3D hologram to express the concept that there are no more boundaries among wish, real life and art.
